Thalapathy Vijay is currently working on his next project after Sarkar, his third movie with Atlee after Theri and Mersal which has been referred as Thalapathy 63 and the movie co-starring Nayanthara and Kathir among others, is being shot in a brisk pace in various parts of Chennai.

The latest buzz surrounding Vijay's 64th project is that the movie will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the young maker who made a promising debut with Maanagaram and has just finished Kaithi with Karthi and waiting for its release. While sources confirm that the director is mostly locked to direct the project, an official announcement is expected on Vijay's birthday next month.

It has also been revealed that this script narrated by Lokesh Kanagaraj will have Vijay not as a superhero as said by earlier reports but will be seen playing a deadly gangster character for the first time and will be a dark thriller. It has also been said that this movie will be a quickie which he will plan to wrap in less than 50 days, and will next move to a biggie. Let's wait for the official announcements to arrive.
