Thalapathy Vijay fans are eagerly awaiting hot official updates on his new movie 'Leo' especially since his birthday is on June 22nd. The teaser launch is expected to happen on that day in a grand manner but fans have got a surprise official video update.

UAE based Phars Films owner Ahmad Golchin has released an official video stating "We are delighted to have acquired the overseas rights for the magnum opus Leo. It's our pleasure to be associated with 'Thalapathy' Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj, and also Lalit Kumar of 7 Screen Studio. We are expecting Leo to be one of the biggest Indian releases this year overseas. Excited and looking forward to the release on 19 October 2023."

The buzz in the trade is that Phars has bought the overseas rights of 'Leo' for a staggering rupees sixty crores which is the third highest ever paid for an Indian film after Rajamouli's 'RRR' and Prabhas-Prashanth Neel's 'Salaar'.

It has also been reported that after fierce bidding war the lucrative Kerala rights of 'Leo' has been bagged by Sri Gokulam Movies for rupees sixteen crores which is the highest ever for a Tamil film. Looks like the pre-release business of the much awaited gangster flick is taking the industry by storm.

'Leo' produced by Seven Screen Studios has music by Anirudh and stars Thalapathy Vijay, Trisha Krishnan, Sanjay Dutt, Action King Arjun, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mysskin and Gautham Vasudev Menon among others. The film is slated for release on October 19th this year.
