Yesterday was probably one of the most cherished days ever for the Thalapathy Vijay fans because the magnum opus Varisu audio launch was all about amazing fan moments. We already reported to you about the actor's iconic selfie with his fans during his speech at the event.

Amid all the highlights, Thalapathy Vijay's trademark kutty kadhai is the thing that piqued the interest of the fans. He narrated a tale about the strong opponent he faced. The story is, "In the 1990s, an actor came as my competitor. After some time, he became a serious competitor. Because of his success, I also ran hard. I wanted to succeed more than him."

"He came everywhere I went, I kept working hard to beat him and I still do. The competitor was formed in 1992 and his name is Joseph Vijay. Be your competitor to grow more. Worthy criticisms and unwanted hatred are the things which fuel us to run faster," concluded the superstar. Two unreleased songs from the Varisu album were performed at the event.

Varisu, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, is a bilingual film that stars Vijay, Rashmika, Prakash Raj, Yogi Babu, SJ Suryah, Sarathkumar, Shaam, Khushbu, Jayasudha and many more actors. Thaman composed the music for the movie which is slated to clash with Ajith's Thunivu on Pongal 2023. Dil Raju has produced this movie under the banner Sri Venkateswara Creations.
