Thalapathy Vijay's sudden visit in the night to offer his condolences to the Sterlite shooting victim families is seen as a great gesture by the mass hero who also gave cash relief of 1 Lakh rupees to all thirteen victim families. Reports have emerged that Vijay had informed key members of his fan clubs in Tuticorin who went to each victim's house and calculated the distances so as to chart out a perfect visit plan for him. Last night Vijay had travelled from Chennai to Madurai by flight and thereon to Thoothukudi by car and also used bikes to visit ten families of the slain victims during the Sterlite protests.
Pushpa Nagar Ranjith house, Masilamanipuram Shanmugham house, Caldwell Colony Karthik house, Ceylon Colony Kanthaiya house, Damodar Nagar Maniraj house, Snolin's house in Minisagayapuram, Antony Selvaraj's house in Annai Velankani Nagarm, Jansi's house in Thresepuram, Claston's house in Lourdeammalpuram, Kaliappan's house in Thaaliapuram were the ten victim families that Vijay visited.
The Thalapathy had regretted not being able to visit the other three families in this trip and promised to make it next time. On the outset itself it is reported that Vijay told his fan club members not to take any photographs telling them he has come to pay condolences and not for a film shooting. Vijay had also snatched the cellphone of Muthukutty of Vijay Makkal Iyakkam's and gave it back to him only when taking his flight back to Chennai. However the thirty second video and the couple of stills were shot without Vijay's knowledge at Snolin's house that were shared on whatsapp and became viral.
