Actor Jai was following the footsteps of Thala Ajith and has been avoiding press interactions and also did not promote his films as well. But for his latest project 'Neeyaa 2' Jai has deviated from his stance and is participating in interviews too.

Jai has revealed that after getting a chance to costar as Vijay's younger brother in 'Bhagavathi' he continued to ask for such roles. But it was the Thalapathy who adviced him not to continue as a character actor but try his luck as a hero which he did in 'Subramaniapuram 2' After that there is no looking back for Jai as he has delivered many memorable performances in lead roles in 'Raja Rani', 'Engeyum Eppothum', 'Aval Peyar Tamilarasi' and other films.

Jai's upcoming films include 'Party', 'Karuppar Nagaram', 'Madhura Raja' and 'Breaking News'.
