The Income Tax department on Wednesday interrupted the shooting of Thalapathy Vijay's 'Master' that was going on in Neyveli and after five hours of questioning brought the leading superstar in a government vehicle to Chennai. Today for the second day enquiries are being held at Vijay's residence in Panaiyur Chennai and the IT official statement has made it clear that no amount has been seized from him and that the raid is in connection with 'Bigil' collecting in excess of rupees three hundred crores.
Politicians Seeman, Congress leader K.S. Alagiri and Kerala Neelambur MLA P.V. Anwar have come out in support of Vijay. Seeman had stated that it is political vendetta and since Vijay has political aspirations the IT raid is a tool used to give him a warning.
K.S. Alagiri has requested Vijay calling him the future hope of Tamil youngsters not be taken aback by such threats as this from the Central government. P.V. Anwar on his facebook page has written that the voices of those who oppose are being suppressed throughout history and 'Mersal' is a movie that shows BJP has no place in the land of the Dravidians and he finishes by saying "I support Joseph Vijay".
