Perarasu supports Thalapathy Vijay and slams his own party BJP

Thalapathy Vijay was under the Income Tax department scanner last week and had to detach himself from the 'Master' shooting in Neyveli and travel to Chennai for a thirty hour probe and his properties. After the IT officials found that Vijay's accounts were straight the top hero rushed back to his shooting spot at the Neyveli Lignite Factory premises. The BJP cadres conducted a protest on the 7th demanding the cancellation of the shooting permission given to the film. The situation became tense after Vijay fans in large numbers gathered outside the factory and the police had to resort to lathi charge to disperse.

Director Perarasu who recently joined the BJP has slammed his own party for conducting the protests. He has written on Twitter in Tamil " It was unecessary for the BJP to have conducted a protest in Neyveli. Vijay is an actor and not a politician. These types of incidents will only create negative feelings among the people for the BJP. Crores and crores of Vijay fans will be hurt by this and instead there are many issues to fight for."

Internet users have lauded Perarasu for slamming his own party BJP and supporting Vijay in the issue. Perarasu has given two blockbuster hits for Vijay, 'Thirupaachi' and 'Sivakasi' and is said to have narratted a new script to him as well which might be filmed in the near future.
