The Income Tax department, on Wednesday, raided the shooting spot of 'Master' in Neyveli and after five hours of enquiring Thalapathy Vijay brought him to Chennai in a government vehicle. The probe continued on Thursday lasting 35 hours in total and at around 10 pm it ended. The IT officials have stated that Vijay had fully cooperated during the investigation and they did not find any unaccounted money, no attempts to evade taxes and all the accounts are properly maintained.
Earlier the official statement from the Income Tax department had specified that the raid was instigated due to Vijay's recent movie 'Bigil' collecting in excess of rupees three hundred crores. When the financier of the film Anbuchezhian and the production house AGS Entertainment came under the scanner there were said to be disparities in the income and expenditure accounts provided.
As far as Vijay is concerned the IT focus was how he had invested his remuneration of rupees thirty crores which was said to have been paid for 'Bigil'.
Sources close to the Thalapathy camp have informed us that after some rest the hardworking megastar will rush back to Neyveli to rejoin the 'Master' crew including Vijay Sethupathi and Lokesh Kanagaraj.
