Thalapathy Vijay starrer 'Varisu' shooting is continuously progressing in Chennai and Hyderabad. The project is steadily marching towards completion and the makers will finish the entire filming by October. The team announced that the movie will be released for Pongal 2023.

Now, the latest is that Vijay's long-time friend and senior actor Sriman has revealed that he will be sharing screen space with Thalapathy after a long time in 'Varisu'. He shared a picture of himself with the movie's director Vamshi Paidipally on social media announcing the same. This news is going viral on the internet currently.

On the other hand, the 'Varisu' first single is most likely to be launched on Diwali 2022. Popular singers Sid Sriram and Jonita Gandhi crooned the song as per the sources. Thaman is composing the soundtrack and background score for the movie. Karthick Palani is cranking the camera and Praveen KL is taking care of the editing.

Rashmika Mandanna is cast as the female lead in 'Varisu' while it also stars Yogi Babu, Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Shaam, Khushbu, Srikanth, Sangeetha, Jayasudha, Samyuktha, Ganesh Venkatraman and others. Produced by Dil Raju under the banner Sri Venkateswara Creations, SJ Suryah will essay a cameo role.
