Thalapathy Vijay is known for his close bonding with his fans and once every year makes it a point to arrange to dine and meet event in which thousands get to see and interact with their idol. Hardcore Vijay fan ECR Saravanan has revealed in an interview that he became a fan during 'Love Today' and has even since met him many times including during the shooting of 'Thirumalai' when the star sported a different getup and asked for his opinion on that.

Saravanan has also shared an incident when he was riding his autorickshaw at the OMR and Vijay was in a car with director Bharathan going to the 'Azhagiya Thamizh Magan' location. Vijay had requested if he can travel in his auto and he readily agreed and it was a eight-kilometer delightful time for him and his four passengers as well.

Saravanan has a tattoo of Vijay and his wife Sangeetha on his arm and had shown it to the mass hero who advised him that respect should be inside the heart and it is unnecessary to show it in these manners.
