Thalapathy Vijay is one of the most popular leading men in South India and has an enviable fan following not only in Tamil Nadu but also neighbouring Kerala and other states. His recent films are laden with political criticisms which has prompted analysts to speculate that he is interested in a political career.
A recent speech of Vijay's father S.A. Chandrasekharan hints that the megastar is planning a political entry in 2026 when Tamil Nadu will be going for its assembly elections. SAC has stated in the speech that a change will come in 2026 which the people are dreaming of and the youth should select a leader among themselves who will give them a corruption free, unselfish, arrogance free governance.
