Thalapathy Vijay was one of the stars from Tamil cinema who donated big for the coronavirus relief measures to the tune of one crore and thirty lakhs to the South Indian state governments funds, Prime Minister fund and for the FEFSI union. He also is said to have parted with close to fifty lakhs by depositing rupees five thousand to many fan club members who lost their livelihood.
Controversial politician and Tuqlak editor Gurumurthy passed a comment on Thalapathy Vijay stating that the income tax department had confiscated all his money and the superstar had to arrange money from various quarters and donate.
Suresh Kamachi the producer of Simbu's 'Maanaadu' has slammed Gurumurthy writing in Tamil "Gurumurthy who has profited by lobbying with politicians has not even donated a small amount and yet he has trolled Thalapathy Vijay who did it in spite of the situation he is in. I strongly condemn Gurumurthy for his troll".
Suresh Kamachi is currently producing Simbu's 'Maanadu' directed by Venkat Prabhu and another movie directed by controversial movie reviewer Blue Sattai Maaran.
