They were there to confiscate items including AC machine, table and fan. It is in connection with a case filed more than a decade back for non payment of rupees seventy thousand and hundred.
S.A. Chandrasekhar directed a film titled ''Sattapadi Kuttram" in the year 2011 and had allegedely made an agreement with one Saravanan for promoting the film for the above mentioned sum. When the veteran director did not pay the dues Saravanan filed a civil case against him at the sub court in Allikulam, Chennai.
The court after hearing the case ordered SAC to pay the pending dues but he did not do it. Saravanan once again approached the court to take action to collect his pending dues and the court officials were given a warrant to do the same.
It is said that when the raid was conducted to confiscate the said items the staff of SAC prevented them from completing their duties. Police support has now been sought. Fans are posting on social media that considering that Vijay grew up in the said house in Saligramam immediate steps should be taken to pay the dues and close the case. There is also talks questioning why the father of such a big superstar is unable to pay such a small amount.
Vijay is currently in Vizag shooting for 'Varisu' produced by Dil Raju and directed by Vamshi Paidipally in which Rashmika Mandanna is the female lead. It is unclear whether the issue has been brought to his notice. SAC has admitted recently that there are misunderstandings between him and his son.
