Thalapathy Vijay commands one of the largest fan following in South Indian cinema and in recent times he has united them under his Vijay Makkal Iyakkam. He has been allotting time for his fan club members from various parts of the state in batches and today it was the turn of those belonging to three districts including Ariyalur and Perambalur.
The meeting was held at the Vijay Makkal Iyakkam office in Panaiyur, Chennai and Thalapathy Vijay attended wearing stunning a black outfit. Thousands of fans who waited outside the compound greeted him with hysteric cheers as he waved his hand to them and went inside the meeting hall.
During the meet a disabled fan who could not walk wanted to pose for a photograph with his idol. Vijay not only obliged for it but went to the extent of carrying the young man in order to take the snap. The pic shared by the VMI leader Bussy Anand went viral instantly and netizens who are not fans of the star too have joined fans to laud the Thalapathy's gesture.
On the movie front Vijay is currently awaiting the Pongal release of his 'Varisu' directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju in which Rashmika Mandanna is his pair. From January he will begin shooting for his next magnum opus 'Thalapathy 67' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Seven Screen Studios with music by Anirudh. The film reportedly has Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Mansoor Ali Khan, GVM, Mysskin and Kamal Haasan in a special appearance.
