Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' directed by Atlee which marks the latter's Bollywood debut is releasing worldwide on September 7th amidst huge expectations. The film has the top notch cast of SRK, Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Priya Mani and Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi as the chief antagonist. Top Kollywood technicians Anirudh, G.K. Vishnu and Ruben are also part of the mega project.
Ever since 'Jawan' was announced and Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee visited Thalapathy Vijay in Chennai there have been speculations about the Tamil superstar doing a cameo role in the film. It was later denied by a few sections of the media.
Now with just a fortnite to go for the release of 'Jawan', once again Bollywood media has started reporting that Vijay is indeed making a cameo appearance and will be seen as a maverick cop. Further reports suggest that Atlee may have deviced a plan to bring Vijay in the character of Vijayakumar IPS that the mass hero played in the blockbuster hit 'Theri' released in 2016. However there is no official confirmation on this.
If Vijay has indeed acted in 'Jawan', then his fans will get to see him in a mass avatar much before the release of Lokesh Kanagaraj's 'Leo' releasing worldwide in theaters on October 19th.
