Thalapathy Vijay's 'Bigil' that released on Diwali last weekend has taken a gigantic opening all over and has reportedly touched the magical 200 Crores collection at the worldwide box office. Vijay has a large fan following in the neighbouring Kerala state and his films enjoy a wide release there. Young Malayalam superstar Prithviraj bought the Kerala rights of the film along with Magic Frames and screened it in 200 theatres.
Prithviraj is now in trouble as notice has been sent to him for violating the Producer Council's rule that other language films should be screened only in 125 theatres. He has been fined a part of the collections that 'Bigil' makes as punishment.
Prithviraj meanwhile is having a great year as his directorial debut 'Lucifer' starring Mohan Lal has become a huge blockbuster and he is currently awaiting the release of 'Aadujeevidham' and 'Ayappanum Koshiyum'.
