Thalapathy Vijay's 'Bigil' directed by Atlee and produced by AGS Entertainment reportedly collected a staggering 300 Crores creating a new record for Tamil movies collections globally when it released for Diwali 2019. Now the film's hashtag #bigil has become the most tweeted about topic on Twitter according to This Happened and is placed sixth in the top ten list behind the Lok Sabha Elections 2019, Chandrayan 2, Cricket World Cup 2019, Pulwama and Article 370. It is also the only Indian movie in the top ten list as well and what is more, is that Thalapathy Vijay's Tweet of 'Bigil' first look poster is the most retweeted and most commented as well with 1 lakh retweets.
Vijay's Twitter handle ranks fifth behind Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. A.R. Rahman is sixth in the list and director Atlee is tenth. All the three stars are associated with 'Bigil'. In the females section of the entertainment handles Archana Kalpathi finds herself at the fourth position most definitely thanks to her movie and the Vijay fans. This is sure going to drive the Vijay fans crazy and put them in celebration mode the whole day on all social media platforms.
'Bigil' had women's empowerment and female football at its core and had the ensemble cast of Nayanthara, Kathir, Vivek, Yogi Babu, Reba Monica John, Indhuja, Varsha Bollamma, Amritha Aiyer and Jackie Shroff.
