Thalapathy Vijay's 'Bigil' is all set to storm the screens in just five days on October 25th two days ahead of Diwali which ensures that the film will take an earth-shattering opening at the box office during the three day holiday weekend. Popular producer, distributor and educationalist BOFTA Dhananjayan in an exclusive interview to us has analyzed the much-anticipated movie's release, box office prospects and the records it could break.
According to Dhananjayan 'Bigil' will be releasing in 700 screens in Tamil Nadu, 300 in Kerala and another 3000 screens in the rest of the territories. Chennai inner city alone will be screening the mass entertainer in thirty five to forty halls. He has authenticated the claims that the film has done 200 Crores business already and points out that producers AGS Entertainment is without tension and are super happy due to this fact. It may be noted that Atlee's original budget was 125 Crores but overshot to 180 Crores and right now the producers have made 20 crores profit.
Dhananjayan has further added that Vijay the most bankable star of Kollywood after Rajinikanth ensured that his 'Sarkar' collected 31 Crores on the opening day and 'Bigil' is expected to rake in 40 Crores which will be on par with a Hindi blockbuster and will set the record for Tamil films.
