Thalapathy Vijay was in the news headlines a few days back when the income tax department conducted raids at his 'Master' shooting spot in Neyveli and later brought him to Chennai for a thirty hour inquiry at his house. At the time of the raid news started doing the rounds that Vijay is an agent of foreign forces to lead mass conversion of Hindus into Christians and his team involved the likes of Vijay Sethupathi, Harris Jayaraj, Harathi and others. Vijay Sethupathi slammed the reports by his famous Tweet in Tamil "Go and find a useful job".

In a recent interview Vijay's father when posed the question explained that he a Christian married Shobha a Hindu forty five years back and has never once interfered with her religion and on the cotrary has gone only once to Jerusalem while he has visited Tirupathi thrice and has tonsured his head too. He has further pointed out that Vijay also has married a Hindu girl Sangeetha and their house contains a huge pooja room.

To the counter that Vijay's wedding was conducted according to Christian rituals, SAC has shot back that he can prove how his son's marriage happened but is it possible for the media to make the people who level the false allegations to apologize publicly.

Chandrasekhar also mentioned that most of his assistant directors in his five decades career have been non Christians and at a time when the upper caste directors chose their assistants by patting their backs to see if they wore a cross belt he had chosen them only through talent.
