An intense debate has been going on in social media over the past few weeks as to who the next superstar of Tamil cinema is with one section saying that Rajinikanth is the number one while others arguing that Vijay has surpassed him in stardom as well as business.

Rajnikanth himself during the recent 'Jailer' audio launch stated that he is well aware of the debates and hinted that he is like an eagle that crows cannot touch or fly above but will only make noises. Rajini and Vijay fans are going all guns blazing on social media.

A north Indian fan told him on video "You have a lot of fans in North India and you are the next superstar". The mass hero's immediate respone was "I am happy about the words you said but there is only one superstar and that is Thalaivar (Rajinikanth), No wonder the video is once again being shared like wildfire.

As far as the box office goes Rajini's 'Jailer' directed by Nelson and produced by Sun Pictures is releasing on August 10th and is expected to take a gigantic opening all over the world. Two months later on October 19th, Vijay's much awaited 'Leo' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is also releasing and one can expect fans debating the collections of both films.
