Sri Thenandal Studios 100th film Mersal` directed by Atlee has an ensemble cast of Thalapathy Vijay in triple roles with Kajal Agarwal, Samantha, Nithya Menen, Vadivelu, S.J. Surya, Sathyaraj, Yogi Babu, Kovai Sarala and Sathyan.

Music score for Mersal` is by Isaipuyal A.R. Rahman in his 25th year in the industry and the team has planned a grand audio launch on Sunday the 20th of August with the bigwigs of Tamil cinema in attendance at the Nehru indoor stadium. The highlight is that the entire event will be telecast live on Sun Network. The extravaganza will also be available live on YouTube, Twitter and Facebook. This will be the first time an audio release function will be telecast live in multiple platforms which is a pioneering effort in media history.What's more 'Mersal' will have its own Twitter emoji from the 18th which is also the first for a South Indian film.
