Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming movie Varisu is making the right noises in all the right places. The film which also marks his Tollywood debut was previously made as a bilingual movie. But the producer has now dropped an interesting update about the release.
In a recent interview with a regional channel, the producer is seen saying that Varisu/ Varasudu (Telugu) was the first film to be announced as a Makar Sankranti release for 2023. He also revealed that the film will be released in Hindi as well, along with Tamil and Telugu versions.
Previously many speculations were rife that Varisu will not get many screens in Andra and Telangana due to a directive by the Telugu Film Producers Association, which stated that original Telugu releases should be given preference during Sankranthi and Dussehra over the dubbed ones. Now producer Dil Raji made sure that among the other Sankranthi Telugu releases, Walter Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy, his film Varisu (Varasudu in Telugu) will get better screens due to his relationship with theatre owners.
Varisu is a family entertainer and has an ensemble cast with Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Shaam, Sarathkumar, Meena, Sneha, Samyuktha, Sangeetha, Yogi Babu to name a few. The second single of this film was sung by Silambarasan and is expected to be released in December.
