Thalapathy Vijay who is in the last leg of shooting for his 'Varisu' costarring Rashmika Mandanna will begin shooting for 'Thalapathy 67' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj later this year or early next. It is said that Atlee will be directing 'Thalaplathy 68' for Sri Thenandal Studios.

We broke the news to you that cricket legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni is entering film production under the banner Dhoni Entertainment PVT LTD. He is keen to kickstart his film industry debut by making the first slew of projects in South India. It was reported that he is joining hands with Thalapathy Vijay for his first venture which could be 'Thalapthy 70'.

Now the latest buzz in Bollywood media is that Dhoni's first film will have both Thalapathy Vijay and Mahesh Babu in the lead roles and will be one of the biggest budgeted films ever in South Indian film history. Iniitially it was said that Vijay and Mahesh Babu will be doing two different projects for Dhoni but now the buzz is that they may unite for Dhoni who is close to both of them.

A decade earlier Vijay and Mahesh Babu were on board Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan' but the project got shelved due to financial constraints at that time. Ever since that there have been several reports of the two charismatic stars joining on screen including in 'Varisu' but it did not materialise. Looks like MSD may well pull off the casting coup of the millenium. Stay tuned for the official word.
