Thalapathy Vijay's most recent film 'Leo' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is said to have collected over rupees six hundred crores worldwide in spite of mixed reviews. The charismatic hero is now fully focussed on 'Thalapathy 68' directed by Venkat Prabhu in which he is reportedly playing dual roles as a young man and his middle aged future self.

Meanwhile there is great curiosity as whether Vijay will act in any more films in the near future as he is said to have plans to foray into politics during the 2026 Assembly Elections. Now a post of X by Sun Pictures has triggerred fresh speculations about Vijay's next movie 'Thalapathy 69'.

Sun had posted a video of Vijay performing a crucial action scene in 'Beast' on roller skates. It is now said that Vijay has given his nod to the premier production house for his next to be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. If this turns out to be true then it will be a reunion for the hero, director and producer after the afore mentioned film that also grossed over rupees three hundred crores overcoming negative reviews.

At the same time there are also other reports that suggest that both the current sensational filmmakers Atlee and Karthik Subbaraj are also in the fray to direct 'Thalapathy 69'. Whichever of these speculations turn out to be true the end result is going to be a major treat for the Thalapathy fans.
