Thalapathy Vijay started shooting for his 68th film directed by Venkat Prabhu in October even before the release of his latest all-time blockbuster, 'Leo'. AGS Entertainment is bankrolling the 'Thalapathy 68' which has an ensemble star cast. The makers completed two schedules in Chennai and Thailand.

The latest reports suggest that the third schedule of filming is likely to begin in Chennai next week. Also, sources tell us that the first look of 'Thalapathy 68' will most probably be unveiled on January 1st, 2024 as a New Year Special. It is said that the team is aiming for a grand release by June to August next year.

The star cast of Thalapathy 68 comprises Vijay, Prabhu Deva, Sneha, Prashanth, Laila, Mic Mohan, Yogi Babu, Meenakshi Chaudhary, VTV Ganesh, Premgi, Vaibhav and many others. The film is said to be a sci-fi action thriller with Vijay in dual roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the music with cinematography by Siddhartha Nuni, stunts by Dhilip Subbarayan and editing by Venkat Rajen.
