It is already official that Venkat Prabhu will directing the film with Yuvan Shankar Raja's music bankrolled by AGS Productions.

Venkat Prabhu in an interaction on Twitter has given a red hot update that 'Thalapathy 68' announcement will be a fiery one and has asked fans to wait for it with bated breaths. The ace director and his team are busy with the screenplay fine tuning and artiste selection for the film.

In the meantime Venkat Prabhu is also producing a new movie 'Nanban oruvan vantha piragu' directed by Ananth who is also playing the lead. The film coming out with the tag "A Venkat Prabhu Gift' stars a host of YouTubers including Irfan in the cast.
