It was recently announced officially that Venkat Prabhu will direct Vijay's next movie 'Thalapathy 68'. His 'Leo' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is slated to release worldwide on October 19. Produced by AGS Productions the film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the shoot is expected to begin this October or November.

Meanwhile, Venkat Prabhu's father Gangai Amaran in a recent interview has stated that his son has packed several surprises in both the subject and the casting of 'Thalapathy 68'. The veteran music composer cum director added that Thalapathy Vijay was very happy after hearing the story. He emphasized that the star cast of 'Thalapathy 68' was shocking to him and will surprise everyone as it has never been done before.
