Exclusive! Unexpected twist in ‘Thalapathy 68’ – Vijay okays Ajith’s blockbuster hit director?

Thalapathy Vijay is super busy shooting high octane action sequenes for his next biggie ‘Leo’ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj on sets in Chennai.  It is said that Action King Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, Mansoor Ali Khan and Trisha Krishnan are the principal costars in this important schedule after which it will be a wrap.  Seven Screen Studios has already announced that the film will be hitting the screens on October 19th this year.

Meanwhile the focus has already started shifting towards ‘Thalapathy 68’ and there are a lot of speculations surrounding the project.  Initially it was said that Atlee will direct the film for Sri Thenandal Films or Sun Pictures and later it was more or less confirmed that Super Good Films will be producing it as their hundredth project with Gopichand Mallineni as director.

Now we have the exclusive breaking news that Vijay has liked a script narrated by Venkat Prabhu and has given his nod.  The screenplay is said to contain all the essential ingrediants for a mass action hero and will be a youthful action entertainer.  Our sources say that AGS Entertainment will be bankrolling this project and the official announcement will come on Vijay’s birthday which falls on June 22nd.  

Venkat Prabhu known for his distinct touch in story, screenplay, casting and direction already given the blockbuster hit ‘Mankatha’ with the other superstar Ajith.  The funfilled actioner is not only the mass hero’s career best but also one of the most celebrated films in Tamil cinema history.

The coming together of Thalapathy Vijay and Venkat Prabhu for ‘Thalapathy 68’ wil not only give fans a new fun unlimited movie experience like never before it also opens avenues for Vijay and Ajith to come together for ‘Mankatha 2’.  It is already well known that Vijay after watching ‘Mankatha’ had expressed that he would have loved to play the parallel lead that Arjun did in the film.  VP has also stated in several interviews that its his dream to direct Ajith and Vijay in a movie together and that he even has a mass script for them.  Here is hoping for miraculous beginnings that every genuine Tamil cinema fan would love.
