Thalapathy Vijay's next movie 'Varisu' is in hectic postproduction to meet the release deadline of Pongal 2023. The film directed by Vamshi Paidipally has Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady supported by an ensemble cast of leading actors and actresses. Meanwhile it is almost certain that the mass hero's next 'Thalapathy 67' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj will go on floors in December this year.
'Thalapathy 67' is said to be a gangster thriller with seven villains in it facing off with Thalapathy Vijay. While it is reported that Prithviraj Sukumaran, Action King Arjun, Sanjay Dutt and others are in talks director Gautham Vasudev Menon confirmed that he is a part of the film during the promotions of 'Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu'.
Now reliable sources have reported that Lokesh Kanagaraj has approached director Mysskin for one of the powerful villain roles and he has also given his nod. The official confirmation on all the cast and crew details is expected in the coming weeks.
'Thalapathy 67' has music by Anirudh and is produced by Seven Screen Studios Lalit Kumar. Samantha, Keerthy Suresh and Trisha are said to be in talks for the female leads as well.
