The film still attracts audiences to theaters in its eighth week in spite of also available on Disney Plus Hotstar OTT platform.

Lokesh is now busy with the preproduction work for his next 'Thalapathy 67' in which he is reuniting with superstar Vijay for the second time after their super hit 'Master' released in 2021. As per the information we have Seven Screen Studios Lalit Kumar is producing the mega project that has music by Anirudh.

We already broke the news to you well ahead that Samantha Ruth Prabhu is in talks to star as the leading lady in 'Thalapathy 67'. She is one of the favorite pairs of Vijay having starred with him in three earlier films 'Kaththi', 'Theri' and 'Mersal'. Fans are excited about her reunion with Vijay that too in this much expected project.

The hot news doing the rounds in Kollywood is that Samantha will be playing a negative character in 'Thalapathy 67' and she will go all guns blazing against Vijay. Though these reports are unconfirmed as of now there is a little bit of credence to it as Lokesh has a penchant of casting top heroes as villains namely Vijay Sethupathi as Bhavani and Santhanam and Suriya as Rolex.
