Lokesh Kanagaraj has delivered Tamil cinema's biggest box office hit 'Vikram' starring Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil and Suriya. The film entering its fifth week run is unstoppable worldwide and is expected to collect around 450 Crores rupees in its lifetime.
Now all eyes are focussed on Lokesh's next movie which is 'Thalapathy 67' starring his 'Master' hero Thalapathy Vijay. The pre-production work has already begun and the shooting is planned to begin in October this year.
Unconfirmed sources are suggesting that Thalapathy Vijay will be playing a mature role as a 50 year old gangster in 'Thalapathy 67'. Vijay last appeared in that age group only once before and it was as Rayappan in Atlee's 'Bigil' that has become an iconic character celebrated by the Thalapathy fans.
If Vijay is indeed playing a fifty year old in 'Thalapathy 67' then fans can rest assured that Lokesh will design his looks to be totally different from Rayappan. In his last few films the ace director has created memorable characters such as Dilli (Kaithi), JD and Bhavani (Master) and Vikram, Santhanam, Amar, Rolex, Agent Tina and Upiliappan in 'Vikram'. Wonder what will be Vijay's unique character that his fans will cherish for a long time. Meanwhile it is also more or less confirmed that Atlee will be reuniting with Vijay for the fourth time in 'Thalapathy 68'.
