Though Thalapathy Vijay is giving his all to his current project 'Varisu' directed by Vamshi Paidipally and costarring Rashmika Mandanna his fans are equally if not more excited about his next 'Thalapathy 67'. The hype is sky high for the yet to begin project chiefly because it is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj who has delivered Kamal's 'Vikram' the biggest all time blockbuster film of Tamil cinema.

We have already brought several tidbits about 'Thalapathy 67' including that Vijay is playing a 50 year old Mumbai gangster with Samantha in a negative role and six villains who may be played by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sanjay Dutt, Action King Arjun and Gautham Vasudev Menon. Shooting is expected to start by year end for the mega project produced by Seven Screen Studios with Anirudh scoring the music.

The hot news that are doing the rounds currently is that 'Thalapathy 67' will not have any songs, heroines, romance portions or punch dialogues. It is said that the screenplay will in an out and out Lokesh Kanagaraj style much like 'Kaithi' and 'Vikram.
