'Thalapathy 67' which had an official launch on December 5th has been constantly trending on social media ever since the Lokesh Kangaraj confirmed it during the all time blockbuster hit 'Vikram' release in June.

So far it is more or less confirmed that Trisha, Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, Mansoor Ali Khan and directors Gautham Menon and Mysskin are part of the cast and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan may put in a surprise appearance. We reported to you long back that Vishal was also approached for a powerful antagonist role and the status on that has been a suspense till now.

In an exclusive fans meet show with us Vishal has finally opened up about the much reported news. He informed that Lokesh Kanagaraj met him and narrated the script but since he was required to allot bulk dates he had to decline. His future commitments for 'Laththi' promotions and 'Mark Antony' also came in the way.

However Vishal expressed his wish to direct Vijay and is confident that he will met him one day and narrate the script in his heart for a long time. The action hero further added that he is a hardcore fan of the leading star for a very long time and will approach him after completing the shooting of his directorial debut 'Thupparivalan 2'.
