Thalapathy Vijay's 'Varisu' is receiving great response from fans and family audiences and is said to have collected more than rupees 130 crore in four days. The good run for the film directed by Vamshi and costarring Rashmika Mandanna is not only in Tamil Nadu but also in Telugu, Kerala, Karnataka states and North India.

Meanwhile Vijay has already moved on to his next 'Thalapathy 67' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj for which a few days of shooting is already completed. It was initially reported that the film is the official remake of the Hollywood film 'A History of Violence' and that Vijay will be playing a fifty year old gangster.

Now news is emerging that Vijay's age in 'Thalapathy 67' will be 46 a couple of years younger than his actual age and he will also appear as a tea shop owner. It is further said that after 'Theri' the mass hero will once again play the father to a child. The same sources add that though Trisha Krishnan is the leading lady she is not playing Vijay's pair but a very powerful character.

One news from this latest unofficial update may shock Vijay fans. It is said that Lokesh Kanagaraj has decided not to have any songs in 'Thalapathy 67' on the lines of his 'Kaithi'. One of the major highlight of any Vijay films is the foot tapping songs and his unique dance steps to them. We will have to wait and see how fans will digest a songless film from their icon.
