Thalapathy Vijay's next movie 'Varisu' is gearing up for release on Pongal 2023 and is expected to take a gigantic opening not only in Tamil and Telugu regions but also pan Indian territories. The film directed by Vamshi Paidipally has Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady supported by an ensemble cast of top actors.

There is as much excitement amongst fans for 'Thalapathy 67' as they have for 'Varisu' and hence both the completed project and the yet to begin one are constantly trending high on social media. So far we know that Lokesh Kanagaraj is directing the film with Anirudh as the music director and produced by Seven Screen Studios.

As far as the cast is concerned several big names have been mentioned to be in talks in the film industry circles. According to the buzz Trisha, Keerthy Suresh, Samantha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Nivin Pauly, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Manzoor Ali Khan are said to be in talks.

Now the hot news doing the rounds from unconfirmed sources is that Lokesh Kanagaraj has also approached Vishal to portray a powerful role in the gangster drama. If this turns out to be true then fans can anticipate high octane action sequences from both the Thalapathy and the Puratchi Thalapathy known for their penchant for it. Ofcourse we will have to wait atleast till the year end to see which of these big stars are a part of 'Thalapathy 67' when the film goes on the floors.
