Thalapathy Vijay's 'Varisu' costarring Rashmika Mandanna and directed by Vamshi is getting ready for release on Pongal 2023. Meanwhile Thalapathy fans are equally if not more excited about his next 'Thalapathy 67' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

We already broke the news to you that 'Thalapathy 67' is likely to go on floors on December 5th. We also reported that Trisha is set to play the female lead while Vishal, Nivin Pauly, Sanjay Dutt and Mysskin are in talks for the antagonists roles.

The buzz in Kollywood is that Mysskin is having second thoughts about starring in 'Thalapathy 67'. The alleged reason is that he is planning to start shooting for a new movie starring Vijay Sethupathi as the hero produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu soon. Lokesh Kanagaraj had asked for thirty days call sheet split ten days a month for December, Janauary and February.

According to sources Mysskin is skeptical that accepting such a big project as 'Thalapathy 67' will hinder his own scripting and directing process.
