Thalapathy Vijay is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film 'Beast' with Pooja Hegde as his lead lady, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The superstar is all set to enter Telugu cinema with 'Thalapathy 66'. The official announcement regarding his Tollywood debut came last month.

Produced by Dil Raju, Vijay is teaming up with director Vamshi Paidipally of 'Thozha' fame for this bilingual project. Earlier, Indiaglitz had updated you that the makers are in talks with three top heroines Keerthy Suresh, Rashmika Mandana and Kiara Advani for 'Thalapathy 66'.

Now, sources close to the film say that the National award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh is the front runner to pair opposite Thalapathy in the female lead role. However, an official nod is awaited in this regard. It is also notable that Keerthy Suresh worked with Vijay in the 2018 film 'Sarkar'.

'Thalapathy 66' launch is likely to take place on Aayudha Pooja. Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu is expected to take part in the launch event. Reportedly, Mahesh's daughter is in talks for Vijay's daughter role. Veteran actor Prakash Raj will be playing a positive role in the film.
