Thalapathy Vijay who smashed many a box office record in the past and his latest 'Master' has completed the first scheduled shooting for his next 'Thalapathy 65' in the USA. He was supposed to resume work for the project in the first week of May but due to the second wave of coronavirus pandemic, it has been postponed.
Hot info from a Kollywood insider has come out that recently director Shankar met Vijay and narrated a script to him which he liked very much but the project did not move any further. It is said that the producers who are lined up for Vijay felt that in the pandemic time it would be very difficult to execute Shankar's grand vision and were hesitant.
It is also said that a few producers felt that the combined salary of Vijay and Shankar would itself near 150 crores and added to that the budget of the film will be sky-high and not conducive in the current situation. Shankar who was a former assistant of Vijay's dad S.A. Chandrasekhar on many occasions had chosen to work with Vijay including in 'Mudhalvan' but the duo could only combine for 'Nanban' the remake of '3 Idiots'. Sources say that Vijay and Shankar have decided that they will definitely do a grand film together in the future.
Shankar currently has the troubled 'Indian 2' starring Kamal Haasan in hand and has also signed 'RC15' with Ram Charan and 'Anniyan' Hindi remake with Ranveer Singh. The sources add that the Ram Charan film could actually be the script that was narrated to Thalapathy Vijay.
