Thalapathy Vijay has pulled off the most difficult task in arguably the film industries all over the world. With just fifty percent occupancy in domestic market and many foreign locations closed his 'Master' has gone on to become one of the if not the biggest blockbuster hits in Tamil cinema history.
Vijay has now turned focus on 'Thalapathy 65' which is set to begin in a few weeks time in Russia and other foreign locations. The film produced by Sun Pictures and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar has music score by Anirudh and cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa. The heroine and the rest of the cast and crew details will be unveiled soon.
We already brought to you the breaking news that Vijay has decided to make back to back movie with the view of continuing to draw audiences to theaters in the new normal. His 'Thalapathy 66' is more or less confirmed to be produced by Sri Thenandal Studios who earlier made his super hit 'Mersal' directed by Atlee.
The buzz now is that Lokesh Kanagaraj has been chosen as the director of 'Thalapathy 66' and a part of his core team has already started the initial scripting process. His very next movie ofcourse is Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram' which is set to go on floors in May and be completed as a quickie.
It is said that Vijay has decided to make 'Thalapathy 66' on a relatively low budget and hence has chosen Lokesh who delivered the mega hit 'Master' within a budget that spelt profit for all concerned. This decision is not only to ease out the burden on Thenandal Muralitharan but also to play safe for the good of the Tamil film industry. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project.
