Even as the 'Beast' fever is gripping Thalapathy Vijay fans with just one week to go for the release here is a massive update on his next movie 'Thalapathy 66'. Ever since the project was announced a few months back there has been much speculations as to who would be pairing with Vijay.

Sri Venkateshwara Creations the producer of 'Thalapathy 66' has officially announced that Rashmika Mandanna is the leading lady of the film. She has been welcomed on board on her birthday making it even more special. The national crush who is a top star in Tollywood made her Tamil debut in 'Sulthan' starring Karthi in the lead.

'Thalapathy 66' will be Rashmika's second film in Tamil and she has shared in many of her interviews that she is a hardcore fan of Vijay and would love to work with him. Her dream has no come true.

'Thalapathy 66' is directed by Vamshi Paidipally and has music by Thaman. The film is expected to go on floors in a few days time and more official updates are expected soon.
