Millions of Thalapathy Vijay fans were eagerly waiting for the official announcement of 'Thalapathy 65' on the auspicious Vinayagar Chathurthi day which fell on August 22nd. It is now common knowledge that Sun Pictures is producing the mega film and A.R. Murugadoss is directing. Even the Sun owned Sun news channel was flashing the news that the big announcement is on the way but unfortunately it did not come much to the disappointment of the fans.
A.R. Murugadoss in his recent televised interview has opened up that he cannot divulge anything about the project at this point of time and only the production house will do it at an appropriate time. He however gave clarify that the project is not a sequel to his and Vijay's 'Thuppakki' and it will be a brand new script that will show the mass hero in a grand light.
Some other reports have also come that 'Thalapathy 65' will go on floors in September when the government is likely to allow the resumption of the shootings. However sources close to the Vijay camp are swearing that Thalapathy has decided to shoot his new film only after the release of 'Master'.
'Master' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and costarring Vijay Sethupathi and Malavika Mohanan is one of the most awaited films of the year and is expected to hit the theaters for Pongal 2021 when the COVID 19 situation is expected to ease out.
