There are enough reasons for Thalapathy Vijay fans to celebrate already as their idol's recent film 'Master' costarring Vijay Sethupathi has become a massive blockbuster hit of all time in Tamil. Add to that the next movie 'Thalapathy 65' is already on the verge of going on floors with Pooja Hegde joining the cast as the heroine.

'Thalapathy 65' is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures with Anirudh scoring the music and Manoj Paramahamsa editing. The rest of the cast and crew details are being finalized.

Now director Vetrimaaran fresh from the announcement of receiving the Best Director National Award for 'Asuran' in his recent interview has once reconfirmed that he is going to helm a new movie with Thalapathy Vijay in the lead.

Vetrimaaran stated that soon after 'Asuran' he met Thalapathy Vijay and narrated a line and the project could have taken off immediately but due to his prior commitments it was moved further.

The celebrated filmmaker has added that his lineup is the Soori-Vijay Sethupathi project followed by a movie for RS Infotainment, then 'Vaadivaasal' with Suriya for producer Kalaipuli S Thanu and after finishing that he would wait for Vijay to take a call on the project. The Vijay-Vetrimaaran project could well be 'Thalapathy 66' or 'Thalapathy 67'. Lets keep our fingers crossed.
