Thalapathy Vijay's 'Master' is one of the highly anticipated films in Tamil cinema. The film directed by Lokesh Kangararaj has the dream combo of Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi with a music score by Anirudh and is said to release on Pongal 2021.
Meanwhile, there has been a drama of sorts in Vijay's next movie 'Thalapathy 65' as director A.R. Murugadoss who was attached to it opted out due to differences with producers Sun Pictures. There have been talks about Magizh Thirumeni filling in but he is already committed to a Udayanidhi Stalin film.
Now the buzz in the inside circles of Kollywood is that director Perarasu could helm 'Thalapathy 65' as he has already narrated a script that impressed Vijay and Sun also has okayed it. It is worth mentioning that Perarasu gave 'Thirupaachi' and 'Sivakasi' two back to back massive blockbusters for Vijay and is always in his good books.
Other reports suggest that though Perarasu is the front line choice as of now Vijay plans to begin shooting 'Thalapathy 65' only after at least three to four months from now and if some other director comes up with an even better script things could change. Stay tuned.
