Actor Vijay who had last acted in the blockbuster Bigil directed by Atlee, is next shooting for his 64th movie which is directed by Managaram and Kaithi director Lokesh Kanagaraj. This movie is produced by Xavier Britto's XB Film Creators and the shooting is happening in a brisk pace.

After schedules in Chennai and Delhi, Thalapathy 64 team is now shooting in Shivamogga, Karnataka and the team is expected to shoot scenes involving Vijay and Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi. Now it has been revealed that versatile actor Nasser has joined the cast of Thalapathy 64.

Nasser has acted in many movies with Vijay in the past, like Thamizhan, Aadhi, Vaseegar, Kuruvi and had last acted with him in AL Vijay's Thalaiva. Thalapathy 64 also stars Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthanu, Arjun Das, Brigida, Ramya Subramanian and has music by Anirudh.
