Thalapathy Vijay's next movie after the blockbuster movie Sarkar directed by AR Murugadoss, Thalapathy 63 directed by his Theri, Mersal maker Atlee has begun shooting from January and the shoot is progressing at a rapid pace in various locations of Chennai with prominent members of the cast.

Recently the movie had been shooting in Binny Mills, and following this, plans are on shoot the next schedule in a popular studio in Chennai, where works are on to erect a huge set which will be a realistic replica of Napier bridge.

While most of the movies don't prefer Chennai for shooting and opt to shoot in Hyderabad, Thalapathy 63 team preferring to shoot in Chennai has been lauded by the film fraternity, as this will give work opportunity for many. Speculated to have Vijay playing a football coach, Thalapathy 63 has music by A.R.Rahman, and also stars Nayanthara, Kathir, Vivek and Yogi Babu.
