If the reports are to be believed, Mammootty and Rajinikanth are coming together once again for a new project directed by Mani Ratnam. The upcoming movie will be an action thriller featuring Mammootty in the role of Rajinikanth's boss.

To be shot both in India and abroad, the upcoming movie is touted to be a big budget entertainer. Reportedly, the film will start rolling soon and will be released in 2018.

As you know, Mammootty and Rajinikanth share a good rapport. The titans of Indian film industry had earlier shared the screen space in director Mani Ratnam`s Thalapathi (1991), inspired by the friendship of Karna and Duryodhana in Mahabharata. If the project materializes, the movie will definitely create waves in both Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
