Superstar Rajinikanth even this weekend proved why he is the all time box office king of Tamil cinema. The remastered version of his 'Baba' one of his rare flop movies released on December 10th in theaters. The film has appealed to the 2k kids and in spite of the mondous storm has collected a decent Rs. 1.50 Crores in limited release.
Rajini is currently shooting for 'Jailer' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar has music by Anirudh and produced by Sun Pictures. Shivaraj Kumar and Ramya Krishnan among others are part of the cast. The 72 year old still energetic thespian will soon start filming 'Laal Salaam' directed by his daughter Aishwarya in which Vikranth and Vishnu Vishal play the main leads.
Meanwhile it was widely reported that Rajini will star in another new movie as a part of his two film deal with Lyca Productions. Cibi Chakravarthy of 'Don' fame was on board as director. Now it is reported that Rajini felt that both the stories that the young filmmaker narrated were not suitable for him and has decided to opt for a different team.
According to the buzz 'Thalaivar 171' may have Desing Periyasamy of 'Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal' or Karthik Subbaraj as director. Cibi Chakravarthy on the other hand is planning to hold talks with Karthi for his next. Stay tuned for the official confirmation on this news.
