Superstar Rajinikanth is curently shooting for 'Jailer' produced by Sun Pictures and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar with Anirudh scoring the music. The film has Jai, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan, Vasanth Ravi and 'Bigg Boss Saravanan in the cast.
Meanwhile the thespian's next project 'Thalaivar 170' is also firming up and we broke the news first to you. The film will reportedly be directed by Cibi Chakravarthi of 'Don' fame and will be bankrolled by Lyca Productions with Anirudh as music director.
The hot news doing the rounds in Kollywood is that the 'Thalaivar 170' team has approached Arvind Swamy to play the chief antagonist aginst Rajinikanth. It is said that there will be several confrontations between the two veterans and will be a treat for fans. The official confirmation will take some time as the project is at its very nascent stage.
Arvind Swamy made his acting debut in Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Thalapathy' directed by Mani Ratnam in 1991. He later became a national sensation after playing the lead in two more Mani Ratnam's fllms 'Roja' and 'Bombay'. After a long hiatus to concentrate on his business ventures, Swamy made a comeback in 'Thani Oruvan' (2015) directed by Mohan Raja in which Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara played the lead roles.
