If there is one upcoming film that is constantly trending on social media it is 'Thalaivar 169' that has the unexpected combo of Superstar Rajinikanth and Nelson Dilipkumar. The 'Beast' effect has caused various speculations on the project and the Thalaivar fans are anxious to get official word on it.

Now an almost official update has come in the form of actor Redin Kingsley who has shared on video details on 'Thalaivar 169'. He has stated that Nelson is busy scripting the project and as of now the first half is completed and it will take some time for the screenplay to be locked. Going by his words it is safe to assume that the film will go on floors sometime in August.

Redin Kingsley is a close friend of Nelson Dilipkumar and has shined in his films 'Kolamavu Kokila' and 'Doctor'. He is also said to be a part of 'Thalaivar 169' apart from other films he is doing right now.

'Thalaivar 169' is produced by Sun Pictures with Anirudh scoring the music and initial reports say that Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar is acting for the first time in Tamil with Rajini. Sivakarthikeyan, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ramya Krishnan and Yogi Babu are also said to be a part of the project.
