Superstar Rajinikanth fans cant wait to watch his magic unfold on screen once again and are eager to get updates on his next, 'Thalaivar 169'.  Sun Pictures officially announced several months back that Nelson Dilipkumar will direct the film with Anirudh scoring the music.

We have been breaking to you first all the updates that we can get on 'Thalaivar 169' whenever we can.  We informed you that Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar will be acting with Rajini in the film.  Now in his most recent press interaction the much loved Sandalwood star himself has confirmed that he is doing the film.

Shivanna has also given the info that he loved the script and his character and its a dream come true opportunity for him.  Rajini was a close friend of his father Dr. Rajkumar and right from childhood he has been close to the Thalaivar too.  He also revealed that the shooting will commence in August and his portions with Rajini will be shot in September in Bengaluru, Mysuru and its surrounding areas.

Unconfirmed reports also suggest that Sivakarthikeyan, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, K.S. Ravikumar and Ramya Krishnan are a part of 'Thalaivar 169'.  Awaiting official confirmation soon.
